Vostok Europe GAZ-14 Limousine Series

In 1977 saw GAZ (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod) launch its third generation of luxury cars. The GAZ-14 was designed under the supervision of A.D.Prosvirin by N.A.Yushmanov, V.N.Nosakov, S.V.Volkov, Y.I.Dokukin and many other designers. The fine 7-seat representative car was built for Soviet high ranking officials and politicians. It was famous for its high-tech features and having the same comfort level of its large American counterparts.

The GAZ-14 was fitted with a V8 engine of 220 hp enabling a top speed of 175 Km/h (109 Mph). Among many limousines the GAZ-14 was the most lightweight and compact. With its additional variety of innovations, GAZ-14 Chaika was sort of a testing ground for new design features, materials and technologies for future production vehicles. Production of the GAZ-14 ended around 1989.
